And now a few words from our guests . . .

My partner and I stayed one month at La Casa Rosa. We really enjoyed our stay thanks to Don and Gela's attitude: we couldn't expect more friendly and helpful hosts. Gela graciously shared her blender with me every day. She also brought some fresh herbs and flowers to our kitchen. Don was always happy to give us advice for the rest of our trip in Mexico and on the best language schools in Guanajuato or where to go to get your hair cut. They are simply very nice people who really care about their guests. The casa is nicely decorated with Mexican ceramics and colourful fabrics and we enjoyed the quiet courtyard among potted plants. As for the location, you can walk to the centre in 20mn and escape the city whenever you want, as the mountain is just around the corner. Don and Gela, thanks again for everything. That was a great pleasure!

Charming place, even nicer than the photos. The apartment was lovely--a sweet retreat from the center of town. I enjoyed the patio with a view of the garden and the wonderful colors, ceramics, and other touches all around the rooms. I found it to be a perfectly beautiful, relaxing atmosphere and I loved having a full kitchen to cook in. Don and Gela keep the place well stocked and very clean, and I agree with the other guests that they were available without being intrusive. Don also had some good info about Spanish language schools. I had a wonderful stay.

Met all our expectations and more. We booked Don and Gela's apartment for one week in February and loved Guanajuato and where we stayed so much that we booked the following week. It is a very quiet location but still walkable to the center of town. The apartment is very attractive and very comfortable. Gela shared some recipes and the many herbs from her garden. We would definitely stay there again and probably will as Guanajuato is one of our favorite Mexican cities. Thank you, Don and Gela.

Charming and cozy! We spent two weeks in this lovely spot in wonderful Guanajuato. It was a refreshing respite from the bustle of the city. Don and his wife were very helpful. Especially enjoyed our daily walk into the city, although five pesos for a fun bus ride is hard to pass up. Agree with all the positives of the other reviewers. Sweet little garden patio area we couldn't enjoy because the town had an unusual cold spell, but this is a great place.

Muchas gracias por su hospitalidad. Guanajuato is marvelous, and we really enjoyed our time there. The apartment was perfect for us. It was everything you promised and then some. You were gracious hosts, and we particularly enjoyed the chance to practice our Spanish with Gela. Again, gracias por todo!

We stayed five nights and enjoyed being able to cook our own breakfast each morning. Staying in the La Presa neighborhood gave us a sense of being a part of the local scene. The owners were very friendly, but not intrusive, and twice we enjoyed walking with Don into town. If you are not up to the short walk home, the buses run regularly and are very clean and safe.

Don and Gela are gracious hosts who provide a comfortable and convenient place to stay while you enjoy all that Guanajuato has to offer. From their location just off the Paseo de la Presa, you can walk or take a bus to all the major attractions, or enjoy some quiet time in a secluded patio that becomes a de facto third room of your apartment. My partner and I were happy to call this apartment our home for two weeks. We would look forward to a return visit at any time, and we would recommend these lodgings to others without hesitation.
